Guwahati University

Assam State Museum

The Assam State Museum is located in the southern end of Dighalipukhuri tank in the heart of Guwahati city, Assam. It was established 1940 and have a large collection of archaeological and historical objects.The museum remains open 6 days a week with Monday being the holiday.

Assam State Zoo-cum Botanical Garden

Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden Assam is very much a green state with its wild animals, some of which are very rare and extinct species. The state zoo has a very good collection of the same. The zoo is spread across acres of land on the foothills of a hillock in the heart of the city, where we could find animals in their natural habitat and not in small inhuman cubicles.

Regional Science Museum

The Regional Science Museum is near to the KVS RO Guwahati Khanapara. It is one of the favorite places for the kids and learners. The museum has nicely displayed scientific developments and Indian contribution to science.

Nehru Planetarium

The Nehru Planetarium is about 15 kms from the Vidyalaya. There are regular shows on the wonders of the Universe and our solar system

Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra.

Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra. Built in the 1990's, is a modern cultural complex near Panjabari. It provides a one-stop review of the artistic excellence of the region. It had been the venue for the KVS Guwahati regional Art Exhibition since 2006.
